Lee
Lee Roy Selmon's history combines family football scholarship with volunteering for the community. Selmon is the youngest of children from Lucious Selmon and Jessie Selmon. They had him raised on their farm in Eufala. He played second in football and was the third brother who played for Oklahoma. All three of them were All-Americans. In 1973, Lee Roy and Lucious Jr. Dewey were the first-teamers for the entire year. Lee Roy is the winner of both Outland Awards and Lombardi Awards. He was the best lineman in the entire nation. He was awarded two championships as well as the score was 32-1-1 over his three seasons as Oklahoma's starter. He was awarded a third scholarship in 1975, and was designated an National Football Foundation Student-Athlete. Selmon earned his degree in education. Lee Roy spent ten hours every week in volunteer work in his college days. In Tampa the Buccaneers, he was a player for the Buccaneers nine seasons and became an all-pro. Additionally, he started an entrepreneurial career. He began his career in 1988. was working as an Account Relation Officer in the First Florida Bank in Tampa. He worked for the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute as well as the Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. He was no surprise that the year 1982 was when the Junior Chamber of Commerce named Lee Roy among the top 10 young stars throughout the United States. Lee Roy stood 6-2 in height and weighed 256 pounds as a college player he was captain of the team in 1975. In 1993, he was named assistant director of the University of South Florida. He was named associate director of athletics by the College Football Hall of Fame named him on the 28th of October, the year 1988. GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame in 1994. Pro Football Hall of Fame In 1995. Parents, Lucious and Mary Selmon Jr. have been awarded the Distinguished American Award in 1989 from the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation. Henry Bellmon was the Oklahoma Governor, who awarded this award.
