Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a rare pop phenomenon: A superstar who crossed over completely from the world of country music to pop culture, turning into a pop icon that will endure forever, and sweeping over everywhere. Swift let go of the influences from her country music like they were an extra layer of skin. She revealed that she was one of the finest singers/songwriters from the generation she was born into. Swift could make the moment personal or harness it to her advantage. Swift's early hits, especially their neo celebration of Tim McGraw, showed off the talents of her. The album from 2008 Fearless showed a singer-songwriter who was discovering herself and was able to draw a wide audience. The album was hugely successful not just in America, where six of its singles were certified platinum on the back of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and you Belong with Me. But it also performed well around all over the world. Swift's new album Speak Now, released nearly two years following the debut, further consolidated this success. It propelled Swift to the heights of fame. The three subsequent albums the three albums that followed -- Red 2012 1989 2014, and Reputation 2017. Swift's popularity only increased. That was an obvious sign she had moved to a new pop world which she was able to fit into. However, even when she reduced her style with the 2020's stripped-down sibling releases folklore and Evermore she continued to be atop of the world of pop, a position that she maintained through re-recordings from her back catalog along with Midnights the top charting synth heavy 2022 collection.
