Harry

Harry Edward Styles, known to the world of music by the name of Harry Styles, is a British composer and performer who is regarded as a member of the group One Direction. He was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on February 1 1994. He is the son of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school where along with three fellow students, he created his own group of musicians, called White Eskimo. The group was part of the Battle of Bands where thanks to their excellent presentations they took home the trophy. Despite having been a fan of music, he also wanted to be the next lawyer or the profession of physiotherapist. Working part-time in a local bakery is his very first job in order to provide for his family. Harry Styles performed Is not She Lovely (Stevie Wonder) at the 2010 auditions to The X Factor. It was for this reason that the group split. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles to be a part of a new band called One Direction. The other group members included Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group, and they founded in the year 2010. They sang Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Be Sucky Without You as well as Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart in the competition, which allowed them to become the leading contenders to win the contest. They were however 3rd place, in the third place, behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell were not able to take home the prize. However, Cowell gave Harry Styles a 2 million dollar contract with Syco.
