Amber Benson is a talented American actor who has performed as a performer, writer, director and producer. She is most well-known for acting as Tara Maclay from the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Benson also directed her films Chance, Lovers Liars & Lunatics and played the leading actress in those films. Benson also appeared in the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was born on the 8th of January 1977. She was born in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. She has a younger sister Danielle and works as an artist. Benson has a father who is Jewish and her mother a Southern Baptist was raised in an Alabama Reform synagogue. Benson was first seen in movies, such as The Killing Jar. Benson also appeared on TV series like Morganville The Series. In the background, Benson used her creative talents to develop her own Ghosts of Albion television series. In 2010 she directed Drones. Buffy claims that she's identified and counted as many as 1800 Slayers and 500 of them collaborate with members of the Scooby Gang.
