Lisa Edelstein is an American actress, best known for her roles on House, a Fox medical drama, House. Growing up in Wayne in conservative Jewish customs, she emigrated into New York City at the age of 18 and began studying theatre at Tisch School of Arts. She became very involved with the nightlife scene in New York City, and made enough noise to be noticed in the press. At the same time, she was becoming more aware of AIDS and its devastating impacts.
